ANIMAL SANCTUARY AND CONSERVATION WORK
Ever since I was a small child I have been fascinated with animals. They are a passion and love for
me. The curious, mysterious creatures who dwell upon this Earth are sentient, essentially innocent.
They rely on the fragile balance of nature for their survival and as we already know, much of the
animal kingdom’s species and natural habitats are being decimated by mankind. As human population
increases and communities expand and build, Earth’s ecosystems are compromised. As much as people
are eager to grow and prosper, so must the animal kingdom, which we must never forget. Animals
have every right to protection, their home, their families, their friends, and the love our beloved Mother
Nature gives them. They ARE a part of Mother Nature as we are. The thought of an animal being
abused makes me sad, angry, and breaks my heart. I cannot watch animal rescue videos without crying
and frankly, it isn’t often that I am a crybaby. For many years I have dreamed of somehow being
involved with animal sanctuary work, having donated to various animal charities, and hoping that one
day I could really help the animal kingdom on a larger scale. More and more animals are raised in
captivity and fortunately, there are people who specialize in sanctuary work who actually know what
they are doing and truly care for the animals in their keep. These folks are real heroes, putting their
own lives on the line when they must for their animal friends. They know the wild is ultimately
disappearing as the demands for sustaining human life grows. They acknowledge all too well that
reintegration into the wild is pretty much out of the question for most animal life once they have been
in captivity for some time. For animals born in captivity, this is especially true. On one hand,
I am deeply saddened of the reasons why animals are kept in captivity in the first place. On the other
hand, I find joy in knowing that the heroes of this planet who have come together and provided
habitats, sanctuaries, and communities for animals are doing their best job, their finest work to assure
the sentient creatures of Earth have some place they can be at home and enjoy what is left of their life.
To add value, length, positive experience and love to the lives of sentient creatures is a blessing, a gift.
This is a gift and dream that I promise to nurture with this church. I pray you follow me and help make
my dreams more achievable. Let’s help each other give our animal friends a better chance! Whether
domestic, wild or wild in captivity, I choose to serve these sentient beings. In doing so, I also serve our
creators and creatrixes who gave me the privilege of a human avatar so I may better the life experience
for another. Now is the time to heal and healing should not be put on the back burner. Problems do not
solve themselves. We must provide the solution as we are the issue. Giving back to the animal
kingdom is our duty. There is only so much animals can do for themselves. We must go the extra
miles to make sure they have what they need and deserve to be happy too.
